According to the authorities in Los Angeles the number of driving under the influence arrests are up by approximately eleven percent in the first two days of the holiday weekend and the Memorial Day weekend law enforcement campaign.
The multi-agency DUI task force that is participating in the Memorial Day Weekend DUI campaign called Avoid the 100, have arrested 231 people for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in Los Angeles County. The arrests have taken place between 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday night according to a written statement by officials involved in the Avoid 100.
